The Sporting Chance team joined 94.5Kfm on their Breakfast Run last week with a coaching clinic held in Riebeek Kasteel. The weather may have been a little overcast, however that didn’t put a dampener on an activity filled morning on Thursday 30th May.
The Sporting Chance road trip followed the 94.5 Kfm trail to Riebeek West primary school for an action packed session of rugby and netball. The eager scholars gathered on the field, where the Sporting Chance team handed out t-shirts to all participants before putting them through innovative drills and exercises. The 94.5 Kfm breakfast team also joined in the festivities, by broadcasting live from the primary school and testing their skills with the children on the field. The coaching clinic was concluded with a hand over of Summit rugby and netball balls to the school, in order for the children to carry on with the skills nearly learnt.
The day was a great success and definitely proved that nothing can stand in the way of a good course, not even challenging weather! We look forward to similar initiatives as there is a great need for coaching clinics in our outlying communities. We thank Summit for supplying the equipment and 94.5 Kfm for making us a part of their trip.
