Three hundred boys from across the Western Cape will once again test their mettle when the 9th Wynberg-Sporting Chance Cricket Super Skills hits town on Friday 22nd February. Always a popular event, Super Skills tests the ability of the aspirant cricketers in different disciplines of the game, aiming to assess the promising talent as they look to a possible future as Proteas.
Held at Wynberg Boys’ High School, it provides an enjoyable day out for the preteens and teenagers, in a relaxed environment, but with stations such as the “Jacques Kallis Batting Accuracy”, the “Richard Levi Power Hitting” as well as the “Jonty Rhodes Throwing and Agility”, there’s something for the boys to aim towards as the afternoon proceeds.
Further, Super Skills reaches out with an invitation extended to four development sides from Khayelitsha and Langa, as truly raw and natural talent is on display. With Khayelitsha taking top honours at the 2012 event, time will tell whether they can emulate that success in 2013!
