BROWN AND GREEN COLOURS OF THE DAY AT WINTER CLINICS

A parent’s perspective…the people who have to wash those shorts and t-shirts!

The weather being what it’s been this week, it’s taken the meaning of winter sport to the maximum, and rugby has borne the brunt of these wintry conditions.

The hockey players run around, and for the most part stay clean.  Some of the soccer boys have been involved in a few rough tackles and falls, but they’ve remained relatively clean.  The rugby, on the other hand, has been nothing short of expectations, as the boys get down to the business of tries and tackles.  With the rain coming down, or threatening to, for much of this week, we’ve become a bit confused about the original colours of some of the shorts and tees as they’ve taken on the colour of the fields.

But as the parents themselves keep saying, “rugby is a winter sport”, and we’d expect nothing less.

A special thank you to Jacobs Coffee and Milo for being a regular presence at clinics this week, providing welcome beverages to parents and children alike.

Thanks to sponsors Flip File, Hi-Tec, Kauai, Gunn & Moore, SuperSport Let’s Play, TK-Hockey, Sportsmans Warehouse and Bic for their continued support.
