Sporting Chance is honoured to be working with the Maurits van Nierop Foundation on the 2012 edition of the Calypso Cricket Festival. The Maurits van Nierop Foundation was founded to commemorate the life of former Holland Cricket international van Nierop, who died tragically in
Cape Town in September 2008.
The Foundation believes sport plays an important role in the development of important life skills – teaching on confidence, discipline and dealing with winning and losing, as well as providing a fun outlet for children.
In working with the Foundation Sporting Chance endeavours to not only capture the spirit of “an extraordinary person and sportsman”, but we hope this relationship will also support their belief that every child has the right to play sport.
