The Lamontville community came out in numbers to give a fitting swansong as we rounded-off the KIA Street Soccer provincial finals in Kwazulu-Natal. With the last of the provincial finals only days away from the national final, Johannesburg was almost palpable and the atmosphere was electric. Sportsmanship was the order of the day as the home players went one better than expected, continuing to support all teams playing, even after they themselves had been eliminated.
Meanwhile sensing the urgency of the situation, Marianhill’s Edamini completely dominated Manchester City of Inanda in the final to come out victorious, not only winning the trophy, but the chance to stand for KZN in Johannesburg.
