It’s Spring and thankfully the weather this week has made us feel like the elusive warm weather is starting to arrive. We’ve enjoyed a productive first few days of the clinics and we are excited to see many young Sporting Chancers, taking the conscious decision to make sport a part of their daily routines for these school holidays. While our country celebrated Heritage Day, there was no better way than to ‘burn it up’ on the sports field, before joining the moms and dads for that well deserved post clinic braai.
We at Sporting Chance are committed to highlighting the importance of children maintaining healthy and active lifestyles, particularly during school holiday breaks. Regulars of our coaching programmes and first time participants have thoroughly enjoyed the cricket, soccer and field hockey on offer at our daily lessons this week.
Seeing the young Sporting Chancers arrive at the various venues around the Western Cape every morning bearing smiles and devoted attitudes, has indicated to us that we are on our way to achieving our objectives. The children are improving on a daily basis and developing solid relationships with their peers and coaches. Another delightful factor is witnessing the girls come out in numbers and partaking in the predominantly male sport codes of cricket and soccer.
On Fun Friday we will wrap up the entire experience appropriately, by rewarding the participants during a festive prize-giving ceremony. The children can expect various goodies provided by our sponsors, as well as evaluation certificates confirming their attendance and indicating their progress level throughout the week.
We continue to thank our sponsors and partners: Flip File, HI-TEC, Kauai, GM, Summit, Sportsmans Warehouse, Liqui Fruit Vitality and SuperSport Let’s Play, for contributing tremendously towards the execution of our coaching programmes.
