Sporting Chance and Adidas SA are pleased to announce their hosting of the Graeme Smith Cricket Development Coaching Clinic. As he continues to commemorate his 100th Test match, Graeme Smith and Adidas SA will run the coaching clinic in association with Sporting Chance and the Khayelitsha Cricket Club at the Khayelitsha Cricket Oval on Wednesday 17th October at 3pm.
Smith has had an illustrious career as a first-class cricketer for South Africa. Having come into the team at the tender age of 21, and ascending to captaincy shortly thereafter, the expectations of a sport-loving nation rested squarely on his young shoulders. He stood with aplomb and a maturity beyond his years as he took on this challenge. Now 31, Smith can look back on a noteworthy career with 34 Test half-centuries, 25 Test hundreds and a healthy batting average of 49.78.
As a product of one of the top sporting schools in the country, Smith recognises the need to invest in cricket to be able to produce results. Sporting Chance is pleased to be associated with The Proteas captain as he honours this remarkable achievement in his life.
