HIGH COMPETITION AS STREET SOCCER GETS VISITORS FROM THE UK

A very competitive group of young men from Merchant Taylors’ Boys’ School stopped by KIA Street Soccer in Langa on Friday afternoon.  This was no ordinary ‘look-see’ for the boys as the schoolboys, all the way from Liverpool in the United Kingdom on a three-week rugby tour, made a donation to the Sporting Chance Development Foundation.

They didn’t stop there, however as they showed that their intention was to be as involved as possible, proceeding to play two competitive rounds of KIA Street Soccer matches.  You would have been mistaken for thinking these were competitive games as the tension ran high as MTBS and the teams from the Langa Street Soccer league soaked up the pressure and showed off some of their best talent.

Thanks to Merchant Taylors’ Boys’ School for the donation to the Sporting Chance Development Foundation and for bringing more joy to the Street Soccer programme.

Thanks too to our sponsors and partners Kia Motors, Foodzone, Supersport Let’s Play, Dawn Wing Global Express, Mille, Good Hope FM, ProNutro; our PSL partners Ajax Cape Town, Amazulu, Bloemfontein Celtic and Orlando Pirates; as well as the provincial Departments of Health for the continued support.
