They start off like this…little things running around the lush greens, merely excited at the thought of being allowed to run free for a few hours. Excited to be with their peers and, young as they are, appreciating the relaxed environment they find themselves in.
Then something starts to happen…more purpose when they run into the tackle bag; their shot at goal has more definition, more thought to it; they start picking the right length at which to bowl; stealing the ball from another player becomes easier.
As the years pass by, with skills coaching and nurturing, as well as personal development and correct mentoring, these previously ‘little things’ bloom into young men and women capable of making us proud, embodying the Olympics spirit of “Swifter, Higher, Stronger.”
With only thirty days left to the London Olympics, we’re excited when we think of the potential that’s out there.
