Introducing the Daily Sports Challenge

This past week has been one that we will all never forget, a huge change to life as we know it. This September we will celebrate 30 years at Sporting Chance and we’ve never missed running a holiday coaching clinic for the kids in greater Cape Town. 112 coaching clinics and three decades later what many people are calling “the war of our generation” has changed all that. Covid-19 controls has forced us to cancel our upcoming holiday coaching clinics.

With families practicing social distancing and the kids isolated at home, with parents trying their best, but slowly losing their minds, we’ve taken our thinking a little out of the box to put a smile on kids’ faces and to help them navigate this very difficult period.

Introducing the Daily Sports Challenge

Every weekday from Monday 23rd March to Thursday 9th April 2020 we will post a sports challenge for kids to complete. The format of the competition will be as follows:

  • Instructional daily challenge video will be posted on our Instagram, Facebook, YouTube channel and Website at 10h00 each weekday
  • Kids will have up 19h00 on that day to complete the challenge and submit their video submission to our Sporting Chance WhatsApp on 066 250 4437
  • WhatsApp video entries must be accompanied by: Name of child, Parents name, Age of child, Child’s school and Email address
  • At 12h00 the following day, winners from the previous day’s challenge will be announced on our platforms
  • We will have two age group categories for challenge instructions and prizes: u9 years (i.e. born on or after 01.01.2011) and u13 years (i.e. born between 01.01.2007 and 31.12.2010)
  • Competition is open to all boys and girls within the greater Cape Town area who are 13 years and under
  • All challenges are done at the participants own risk.
  • The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • By entering you are joining the Sporting Chance database
