MUCH LEARNING DONE AT THE FOUNDATION CLINICS

The week of Sporting Chance Development Foundation clinics has come to an end in Langa, Khayelitsha and Macassar, where 120 children in each community were schooled on the foundations of Rugby, Hockey, Soccer and Netball.

It was the first time we’d had week-long clinics, introducing them as a way for the youngsters to get the most out of clinics, and to make the most the most out of their holidays.  It was a chance worth taking, as close on four hundred players turned up daily to absorb the lessons given to them.

In the same way we started, wanting to give players a healthy holiday alternative, children were given a sporting chance, which we hope will be a chance for their future.

Thanks to UCT’s Department of Sports Management, The Nassbaum Foundation, The Solstice Foundation as well as Foodzone for their support in making the clinics possible.
