It was always going to be a tough one, with rain that had started over the weekend set to continue in to the week. As dawn broke the sound of overnight showers continuing into the new day added a few creases onto the brows of many a Sporting Chance staff, and that worry was proved right as the rain came down early on.
But (and thankfully there’s a ‘but’ to this story), that wasn’t how the tale would end. After early morning showers, the sun won through and coaching did happen. A great end to a testing start!
