Week two has arrived and with it a respite from the scorching heat. Aspiring sports girls and boys descended on Newlands and Constantia on a cool Cape Town morning as the Easter Clinics continued.
Although more quiet than last week, the children appreciated the skills taught to them, as they were trained in the art of passing and catching, the correct way to kick and to shoot at goal, as well as batting and bowling. They soaked it all in too – perhaps motivated by seeing their heroes over the course of the great sporting weekend we had. The young enthusiasts were certainly excited at the prospect of taking part in a week of sporting activity.
It is a sight to behold, seeing the joy in their faces, and with three days of clinics still to go, we are looking forward to it.
