SPORTING CHANCERS LEARN TO PLAY THE MANCHESTER UNITED WAY

Manchester United showed that they weren’t using their time in the country merely as pre-season training for their players, running a coaching clinic at the Newlands Rugby Stadium.  Close to fifty young players between the ages of six and 12 gathered at the Stadium to make the most of this fantastic occasion.

Ten Sporting Chancers from the holiday clinics as well as KIA Street Soccer were part of the group that was given the privilege to participate in this specialised session run by the Manchester United Soccer Schools staff.  They listened intently as former Bafana Bafana and Manchester United player Quinton Fortune spoke to them briefly.  There was more enthusiasm as they got to mix with the experienced staff in specific drills and exercises.

This was certainly an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the young players, and they appreciated this. The kids were also thrilled to see Fred the Red, the official Red Devils mascot, and parents were delighted too as they happily snapped away pictures of their young ones.

Thanks to the Manchester United Soccer Schools, Supersport Let’s Play and The Treble Group for facilitating this amazing opportunity.
