All the pupils at Laerskool Kleinmond were in for a welcome surprise on Wednesday afternoon when our team arrived to activate a rugby coaching clinic on behalf of SuperSport Let’s Play and Still Water Sports Events.
In light of this weekend’s African X trail run to be staged in Kleinmond and the surrounds, Still Water Events wanted to engage and give back to the community, and they though what better way than to get the local children involved in a sports coaching clinic.
Partnering with SuperSport Let’s Play we hosted a rugby coaching clinic for all the grades and it was fantastic to see both the boys and girls getting actively involved. The children were divided into different groups and transitioned between various stations covering fitness, basics and in depth rugby skills. The weather was hot, but this certainly didn’t deter the enthusiasm as all the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and took to the tasks with vigour and determination.
