On Tuesday the Ivory Park community made its Street Soccer debut when the Sporting Chance team descended on the Ivory Park North Hall for road show number two. As these things go, firsts are always a special occasion, and both the children and coaches were thrilled to take part in the road show. What made it all the more special was that these soccer-loving children were anticipating the start of the league, having no idea what was in store for them.
There was much fanfare from all those involved, coaches and children alike, with most of them eager to take part in all the activities. They were also grateful to be given the opportunity to not only be a part of the league, but more importantly, to be part of a positive development initiative for the children in the community. The show rolls on to Atteridgeville on Wednesday.
