WHEN HEALTH AND HOPE COME TOGETHER

The words of Thomas Carlyle – He who has health has hope – echo loudly not only in the background, but front-and-centre as, in the same week, the 22nd Sporting Chance Calypso Cricket Festival and the summer coaching clinics are set to get underway.

For with these words the Scotsman summed up what it means for both Sporting Chance and Supersport Let’s Play to bring Calypso Cricket to more than 3000 children in Cape Town’s surrounding communities as well as to host coaching clinics.

Not just content with being the continent’s premier sporting broadcaster, Supersport, through Let’s Play, decided to get involved in the lives of South Africa’s children to support an active South Africa through various media campaigns and associations with organisations such as Sporting Chance.  In this way they hope to promote health and to fight against inactivity and childhood obesity.

Supersport Let’s Play wants to offer as many active lifestyle and health options to as many of SA’s youth as possible, while we seek to offer hope by giving a sporting chance to our youth.  When the children line-up for the coaching clinics and some Calypso magic and Supersport Let’s Play films and then broadcasts this, hope and health will be coming together to do wonders for the country.

Thanks to Supersport Let’s Play for partnering with us in our efforts…Let’s Play.
