With the twelve days of Christmas now behind us and the tree neatly packed away (hopefully!) it was time to look forward to a new year with the resumption of the summer holiday coaching clinic after the festive season break.
True to form for a precocious group of youngsters, there were no complaints about needing the extra hour of sleep, being too tired to run or even what they were missing on TV. Instead, from the moment they detached themselves from the firm grasp of some anxious parents, they were focused on the work at hand. So much so that those booked in for the day, as a look-see of what clinics are about, made the call to stay the remainder of the week.
An encouraging start to the coaching year, one we hope will bring out the best in these sporting enthusiasts.
